Columbus group creates website to help Ohioans find a COVID vaccine

A new website created in Columbus aims to help all Ohioans find a COVID-19 vaccine.

The website, VaccinateOH.org, launched Friday and compiles information from hospital systems, pharmacies and local health departments in one place for people looking for a vaccine.

Users can find places offering the shots by entering their ZIP codes, which brings up a map with providers nearby. The website then provides an address, phone number and link to a scheduling website for each vaccine provider.

“It needed to be something that made it easier for them to find an appointment and made information more accessible,” said Ayaz Hyder, assistant professor at Ohio State University’s College of Public Health. “We really wanted to make this something by Ohioans, for Ohioans.”
